Arsenal will be looking to tighten their grip on a place in the Premier League‘s top five when they host Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday 3rd May at 5:30pm. The Gunners hold a comfortable lead over the other teams in the Champions League battle, but aren’t secure just yet. Bournemouth have fallen away in the European battle after a poor run of form. This game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Premier League.

Over 2.5 Arsenal goals

Arsenal have scored at least three goals in four of their past five games against Bournemouth. But the one exception did occur in the most recent meeting, a 2-0 win for Bournemouth earlier this season.

Over 6.5 Arsenal corners

Only Tottenham Hotspur (7.0) have averaged more corners per game in the Premier League this season than Arsenal’s 6.88.

How both teams go into Arsenal vs Bournemouth

The Premier League title is likely to be decided on the first weekend of March, and it unfortunately won’t go Arsenal’s way. But they have to keep focused to make sure they don’t lose their spot in the top five. That’s also unlikely to happen, with Arsenal holding a nine-point lead over sixth with five games left to play. The Gunners are unbeaten in their past seven in the league, but this game will also come in between the two legs of their Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Bournemouth were being backed by some to crash the European party, whatever the level of competition they would qualify for. But the Cherries are now on the outside looking in. A poor run of form with just one win in their past eight league games leaves Bournemouth eight points behind seventh with five games left to play. They may have a slim chance of European football, but they’ll need to be perfect starting with a tough trip to the Emirates.

Arsenal team news

Arsenal will hope to have Jorginho back in time for this game, but Kai Havertz, Gabriel, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu remain out.

Bournemouth team news

Luis Sinisterra is expected to be back by the time this game comes around. But Ryan Christie and Enes Unal are out for the season.

Arsenal vs Bournemouth head-to-head

Bournemouth ended an 11-game losing streak in this fixture when they beat Arsenal 2-0 in October. But the Cherries have lost every away game they’ve played against Arsenal across all competition.
