Arsenal will be hoping the Premier League title is still a possibility when they host Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday 23rd April at 8pm. The Gunners are 11 points behind league leaders Liverpool after 31 games, but won’t give up until it’s over. Crystal Palace are looking to climb the table after a fine 2025 so far. This game will be broadcast live on Sky Sports Premier League.
Bukayo Saka has been directly involved in five goals in his past three home games against Crystal Palace across all competitions.
Crystal Palace have faced just 3.57 shots on target per game away from home in the Premier League this season — the best defensive record in the division.
By the time this game comes around, the title race could already be over. Or Arsenal could be looking to put pressure on Liverpool, playing before their title rivals. The Gunners are unbeaten in their past five league games, but three of those have been draws. It leaves Arsenal 11 points off top, with the more realistic expectation now being a top-four finish. In that regard, Arsenal look to be in a good position, nine points clear of fourth-placed Chelsea. And, at this point, Arsenal eyes might be on a Champions League semi-final first leg.
This game has been moved earlier because of Crystal Palace’s involvement in the FA Cup semi-finals. So that will be their full focus, especially with not much to play for in the league. Palace are a bit too far off to join the European football battle in the league, currently 11th, 11 points behind sixth. They’re also unbeaten in five in the league, but Palace have won four of those — though their draw came against now-relegated Southampton. Palace’s away form and defence has been excellent this season, and it’ll get a test here.
Gabriel, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus and Takehiro Tomiyasu are all out for the season. Riccardo Calafiori could be back in time for this game, but will be assessed as the weeks go on.
Cheick Doucoure and Chadi Riad are long-term absentees for Crystal Palace. Maxence Lacroix should have passed concussion protocol by the time this game comes around.
Arsenal have won their past six games against Crystal Palace across all competitions. The Eagles haven’t won at the Emirates since April 2019.
