Bayern held off a late Real Madrid push to earn their first victory at the Bernabéu in 25 years.

FULL TIME: Sporting CP 0-1 Arsenal

Havertz lands a late hammer blow against Sporting to give Arsenal a narrow edge heading back to the Emirates next week.

FULL TIME: Real Madrid 1-2 Bayern

Real Madrid pushed hard after Mbappe's late goal, but couldn't find the equaliser after Diaz and Kane struck for Bayern.

Mbappe is left with plenty of space to dribble forward and curl towards the bottom corner. His shot can't get enough whip and it goes just wide.

Bayern continue to look dangerous on the attack and Jamal Musiala scuffs his volley inches wide of the post.

Gabriel Martinelli drills a low shot towards goal, but Silva holds that attempt easily.

CHANCE SPORTING

Suarez flicks the ball on to Catamo and his deflected shot almost catches out David Raya, who reacts to push behind for a corner.

Vinicius Jr glides into the Bayern area but can't pick out a teammate with his cut-back.

That opener is quickly chalked off as Viktor Gyökeres was offside in the build-up to that Zubimendi goal. 0-0

Breakthrough in Lisbon! Martín Zubimendi pulls out an absolute cracker and finishes perfectly from the edge of the area with an excellent first time shot.

Olise is really enjoying himself in the second half as he cuts in again from the right flank and his curling effort is inches away from the top corner.

BIG CHANCE REAL MADRID

Oh wow, Upamecano mis-times his header back to Neuer and Vinicius Jr pounces on the ball, races forward and shoots into the side-netting. That was a big, big opening for the hosts.

Sporting CP get forward at pace and Trincao lashes a low shot across the face of goal.

Bayern are really piling the pressure on against Real Madrid now and Olise goes on a jinking run and forces Lunin into another save with a low strike.

CHANCE ARSENAL

Martin Odegaard curls a decent free-kick towards the roof of the net, but Rui Silva gets up and tips that effort over the bar.

From a corner, Bayern almost strike again as Josip Stanisic fires towards goal but Lunin gets down quickly to save.

GOOOAL BAYERN!

What a start to the second half for the German giants. Seconds afyer kick-off, Olise tees up Harry Kane and the striker culs perfectly into the bottom corner from 20-yards out.

SECOND HALF

Back underway at the Bernabéu and the Estádio José Alvalade.

Cagey clash between Sporting and Arsenal. Will we see more action in the second half?

A very composed finish from Diaz to put Bayern ahead. Will they hold on to their lead in the second period?

HALF TIME: Sporting 0-0 Arsenal

Araujo and Madueke hit the crossbar for their respective sides early on before a cagey end to the half took hold. Goalless in Lisbon so far.

HALF TIME: Real Madrid 0-1 Bayern

Plenty of chances at both ends in Madrid, but Diaz's well-taken finish gives Bayern a half time advantage.

GOOOAL BAYERN!

Bayern build up a spell of possession and Luis Diaz races on to Gnabry's excellent through ball and tucks low into the net to complete a flowing attack.

Not too many openings between Sporting CP and Arsenal since both sides cracked the crossbar in the early stages. A few heavy tackles come in to disrupt the flow in Lisbon.

Vinicius Jr has another pop at goal, but it's a routine save for Neuer, who gathers comfortably.

The veteran goalkeeper is having a fine evening so far, keeping Real Madrid at bay so far.

CHANCE REAL MADRID

Bayern are nearly punished immediately for that miss as Mbappe's low snapshot is kept out again by Neuer.

BIG CHANCE BAYERN!

How has he missed!? Real Madrid gift the ball to Serge Gnabry just six yards out, but the attacker can't beat Lunin with his shot. Massive chance.

Real Madrid continue to pile on the pressure as Neuer claws a dangerous Vinicius Jr cross away before Trent Alexander-Arnold has a powerful shot blocked.

CHANCE REAL MADRID

The hosts are building some momentum now and Vinicius Jr's low, curling shot is saved by a full-stretch Neuer.

OFF THE BAR

Arsenal cause havoc from their first corner of the game and Noni Madueke's corner beats the goalkeeper and whacks the crossbar. Martin Odegaard tries to shoot on the follow-up but can't get his effort away.

CHANCE REAL MADRID

End-to-end between Real Madrid and Bayern as Kylian Mbappe gets in behind and shoots straight at the onrushing Manuel Neuer.

The hosts are really getting at Arsenal here and Geny Catamo's shot forces David Raya into action for the first time this evening.

OFF THE LINE

Bayern maintain pressure against Real Madrid and Dayot Upamecano's bundled attempt is cleared off the line by Alvaro Carreras.

Sporting CP cut through the Arsenal defence and Maximiliano Araujo drills against the crossbar from the edge of the area.

Olise takes that Bayern free-kick - it clips the wall and flies harmlessly over the Real Madrid crossbar.

Bayern start on the front foot at Real Madrid and Konrad Laimer sends an early sighter over the bar from 25 yards out.
