WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official press release from The Football Association this morning.
The 25-year-old centre-back has been drafted into the squad by head coach Sarina Wiegman as a direct replacement for Manchester United’s Maya Le Tissier. It has been reported that the defender was diagnosed with concussion following her side’s 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Kingsmeadow on Sunday and she is now unable to link-up with the Lionesses during the current international window.
Le Tissier’s replacement Wubben-Moy has 13 senior England caps to her name to date and she will be hoping for an opportunity to impress during the latest camp.
England are set to take on the United States and Switzerland in the final international window of the calendar year. The Lionesses face the United States in-front of a packed out Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening before coming up against Switzerland at Bramall Lane in Sheffield next Tuesday. Both games form part of England’s preparations for next summer’s UEFA Women’s EURO.
Limited tickets remain on-sale for the United States game while fans are also still able to secure their seats in Sheffield for the Switzerland fixture. Full ticket information can be found by clicking here.
