AS Monaco turned down a late AC Milan approach for Thilo Kehrer (28), according to a report from Fabrizio Romano.
Having done much of their business earlier in the window, Monaco’s focus turned towards sales at the end of the window. Wilfried Singo, Eliesse Ben Seghir, and Breel Embolo all notably left the Principality club before the closure of the window on Monday.
However, there were other players who attracted interest. Saudi Arabia’s interest in captain Denis Zakaria has already been well-documented. Romano now understands that there was interest in Kehrer, too. The German, following the arrival of Eric Dier earlier in the window, is yet to start a game this season.
With UEFA Champions League football at the Stade Louis II again this season, he will nonetheless have an important role to play. As a result, Monaco rejected AC Milan’s approach for the defender.
Les Monégasques had been linked with a late move for Chelsea’s Axel Disasi, however, Get French Football News understood that those links were unfounded.
