AS Roma have enquired about Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi (28), according to a report from Foot Mercato. The Frenchman has been allowed to spend the second half of last season on loan at West Ham United. Disasi was a nailed-on starter in East London under the tutelage of Nuno Espirito Santo, but he could not prevent the Hammers from going down in the EFL Championship.

Disasi then returned to Chelsea, where he remained under contract until June 2029. The Blues are looking to part ways with the former AS Monaco centre-back, and a Champions League-playing club might be interested in his services.

Indeed, AS Roma, who finished third last season in Serie A, have enquired to Chelsea about Disasi. The Giallorossi have also made contact with the player’s entourage. Chelsea, who are trying to sign another French international centre-back in Maxence Lacroix, have set a €20m price tag on Disasi.
