Aston Villa are looking to sign West Ham United attacking midfielder Jarrod Bowen this summer, according to The Athletic.
West Ham are preparing for life without some of their key players at the London Stadium club following relegation to the Championship.
Villa manager Unai Emery is a huge admirer of Bowen, but the Midlands club have yet to open talks with the Hammers.
West Ham are not looking to sell their captain, but he could be sold for at least £50 million should he express a desire to do so.
He has not done that yet, and Villa also have to sell before buying.
Other suitors will be monitoring the situation and the Hammers are preparing for life without Bowen should he leave.
They are keen on Brighton and Hove Albion winger Amario Cozier-Duberry after his impressive loan spell in the League One with Bolton Wanderers last season.
The former Arsenal man helped Bolton gain promotion to the Championship was nominated for the EFL League One player of the year award.
Cozier-Duberry is a long-standing target for West Ham and a move could appeal to the 21-year-old.
He notched nine league goals and 13 assists last term and could be a perfect addition to the Hammers’ attack.
However, Brighton are hoping to hold on to him and talks have been held over an extension, with two years remaining on his current contract.
Holding on to Bowen and signing a quality attacker like Cozier-Duberry will be huge for West Ham as they eye an instant return to the Premier League, but doing both could be tricky.
They need to balance the books and make much-needed sales as they have to raise £150m, and their captain is one of their most valuable players.
