Aston Villa star could return for West Ham match | OneFootball

Unai Emery has delivered positive news about Youri Tielemans’ recovery, and could even include the Dutchman in his squad against West Ham.

Aston Villa host West Ham in their final game before the March international break, and manager Emery delivered a positive squad update. 

Having been without Youri Tielemans for the last two months, the midfielder could make his return against the Hammers. 

“He has started to train with us, individually he did one progression until today,” said Emery. “Friday was the first time he trained with us and he’s feeling good.”

The Dutchman has missed Villa’s last 11 matches across all competitions with an ankle injury, but is in contention to return.

“He’s important, I don’t know if he’s going to be in the squad for Sunday,” continued the manager. “In case he is, we’re trying to progressively get him with us again.”

Although Boubacar Kamara remains a long-term injury absentee, Matty Cash made his return to action in midweek as a second-half substitute against Lille and could be in contention to start on the weekend.
