Villa have been and remain hugely busy as the end of the transfer window approaches, with attackers Jhon Duran and Emi Buendia heading out of the door in recent days, while Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio look set to come in to replace them.

There is work going on elsewhere though as well and 19-year-old right-back Kosta Nedeljkovic looks poised to go.

Unai Emery wants Nedeljkovic to get more first-team minutes and Aston Villa are keen to find a suitable loan destination for him.

Several European outfits have been interested in taking the right-back on loan and RB Leipzig are one of them.

Now matters are progressing swiftly as the Aston Villa star secures a move away.

According to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, Nedeljkovic is now ‘on the verge’ of joining RB Leipzig on a loan deal and ‘a plane from Birmingham landed today’ in Germany.

The German outfit have planned a medical for him today as they look to finalise his loan move from Aston Villa.

French outfit Saint-Etienne also showed interest in signing Nedeljkovic, but he is set to be playing his football in the Bundesliga for the rest of the current campaign.
