Aston Villa will host Leeds United on Saturday with a trio sidelined and a fourth facing a late call. Leeds Live reports that Unai Emery will be without John McGinn, Youri Tielemans and Boubacar Kamara.

McGinn is not expected back until March after a knee injury last month, while Tielemans is set to be out until April with an ankle issue. Kamara’s season is over following a knee injury against Tottenham in last month’s FA Cup third round. Between them they have 57 Premier League appearances, four goals and 10 assists.

Back-up goalkeeper Marco Bizot is suspended after his red card in the fourth round defeat to Newcastle United, though Emiliano Martinez is expected to resume as first choice. There is uncertainty over Matty Cash after a knee issue kept him out of the last two matches, and he could return to the squad.

Daniel Farke has concerns over four players, although all could be in contention at Villa Park. Anton Stach and Pascal Struijk could return from hip flexor problems after being given added rest for the FA Cup shoot-out win at Birmingham City.

Daniel James was omitted as a precaution because of back complaints. Noah Okafor went off before full-time at St Andrew’s with a leg muscle issue, suspected to be hamstring, though Farke hoped it was only cramp pending assessment.

Leeds have had a day less to prepare than Villa and also played the full 120 minutes on Sunday.
