With star forward Ademola Lookman eagerly seeking a departure from Atalanta for Inter, La Dea have identified several alternative signings to the Nigerian star.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that after having not reported to training in Zingonia for a fifth-consecutive day, Atalanta have come to terms that they will be most likely losing another pivotal forward and have several profiles that could serve as ideal replacements.
Coach Ivan Juric’s side have added to their short-list Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz and Jean-Phillipe Mateta of Crystal Palace as potential acquisitions for the number-nine role up-top.
The 24-year-old Brazlilian has tallied eight goals and a single assist for Fulham last season in 31 matches played. Given his age and potential, Muniz serves as the primary target for the striker role.
On the other hand, the French international of the Eagles possesses more experience given his age, which could enable the 28-year-old to fit seamlessly alongside former West Ham and Sassuolo marksman Gianluca Scamacca.
In addition, Diego Moreira of Strasbourg has been deemed as a possible purchase out-wide to fill the incoming gap. The Belgian international is currently evaluated at a fee of €30m, which is a fee that could be attainable given the sale of Matteo Retegui and the imminent departure of Lookman.
