Atalanta star Ederson set for second medical in the UK with Manchester United | OneFootball

Atalanta midfielder Ederson is set to undergo a second medical in the United Kingdom ahead of his move to Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Man United have already agreed a €45 million deal for the 26-year-old and held a first round of medical tests in the United States.

However, no contract has been signed yet despite a verbal agreement and the Red Devils want extra checks as they plan to hold a further round of medical with the Brazilian international.

With Brazil out of the World Cup following their 2-1 defeat to Norway in the round of 16 last night, Ederson is expected to fly into England to undergo more tests at Man United.

Rumours made the rounds on social media yesterday that the deal had fallen through, but that is not the case.

Nothing has happened right now and the move could still be off, but the player’s future will depend on the results of the second medicals.

Ederson made two appearances at the World Cup, coming off the bench against Haiti and Norway.

He was a late inclusion in the squad following injury problems to Carlo Ancelotti’s final squad.

The Atalanta star will hope all goes well in the coming days, and he is expected to complete a move to Man United if nothing is flagged up during the new tests.

They have yet to make any additions to their squad this summer but have released Casemiro, Tyrell Malacia and Jadon Sancho.
