Atalanta wing-back Lorenzo Bernasconi faces several weeks out with a knee ligament injury and is unlikely to play again this season.
According to Football Italia, the 22-year-old was hurt in Wednesday’s Coppa Italia semi-final, a penalty shootout defeat to Lazio at the New Balance Arena in Bergamo.

Medical tests showed a Grade I-II lesion of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee.
A precise recovery time has not been given, but this type of problem typically needs at least three weeks of treatment, so his campaign is probably over.
An academy graduate, Bernasconi has made 37 competitive appearances for Atalanta this season, providing three assists.
