Milan Škriniar has found himself relegated to a backup role at Paris Saint-Germain, as manager Luis Enrique prefers Willian Pacho and Marquinhos as his starting center-backs. This shift has fueled speculation that the experienced defender could leave the club in the coming weeks.

Despite being linked to several teams over the summer, Škriniar decided to stay at PSG. However, with the January transfer window on the horizon, a move seems increasingly likely. A return to Serie A, where he thrived with Inter Milan, is emerging as a strong option.

In November, Santi Aouna of Foot Mercato reported that Škriniar had reached a verbal agreement with Juventus, and negotiations between PSG and the Italian side over a transfer fee are ongoing. Yet, another club is reportedly leading the race for his signature.

According to a recent report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Škriniar and are considered a strong contender to sign him.

Nonetheless, there could be another suitor in the race for the veteran.

Fichajes reports that Atlético Madrid already have their sights set on the next transfer market to strengthen its defense. The Spanish side have three targets in mind to bolster their center-back positon and one of them is Škriniar.

The report suggests that the Slovakian’s price is likely to be reasonable, around €10 million, but his high salary might pose a challenge for Atlético.

Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany recently reported that PSG and Galatasaray are in active discussions about a potential winter move for Škriniar. The talks revolve around a loan deal, and the central defender is reportedly open to the move. Škriniar has emerged as a key target for Galatasaray as they look to bolster their defense this season.
