Atlético-MG top Arrascaeta’s list of victims for Flamengo and Cruzeiro. The Uruguayan has 11 goals against the Galo across both clubs. Globo.com highlights this is his 12th season in Brazil and he is an idol for both.

On Sunday he shone again at Arena MRV, as Flamengo beat Atlético-MG 4-0 in the Campeonato Brasileiro. He set up one and scored another, taking his split to five for Flamengo and six for Cruzeiro.

None were penalties. Most were right-foot finishes in the box, with others from his left or with headers.

His celebration echoed Gabigol’s in the 2024 Copa do Brasil final, also against Atlético-MG. He later posted a photo caption reading “De pai pra filho”, which some saw as a taunt, though the hand sign formed C and M for his wife Camila and son Milano.

América-MG and Palmeiras are next on nine each, the former with eight for Cruzeiro and the latter with eight for Flamengo. Then come Grêmio on seven, and Vasco, Athletico and Corinthians on six, with Vasco’s all for Flamengo. He hit 50 goals and 37 assists in four seasons at Cruzeiro, and is on 105 goals and 110 assists in his eighth year at Flamengo.
