An alarming statistic surrounding the ongoing drought being endured by a member of the attacking ranks at Atlético Madrid in front of goal has on Sunday come to the fore online.

The player in question? Antoine Griezmann.

Atlético Madrid were of course back in action earlier this evening.

After a hit-and-miss opening to the campaign, the Rojiblancos made the trip to Son Moix, for a La Liga meeting with RCD Mallorca.

When all was said and done on another disappointing evening for Diego Simeone’s troops, however, they were again forced to settle for a share of the spoils, owing to a 1-1 draw.

The aforementioned Antoine Griezmann was for his part introduced to proceedings off the bench during the 2nd-half.

The Frenchman, though, failed to have the desired impact.

And as alluded to above, such shortcomings on the part of the Frenchman have since given rise to a head-turning statistic.

As per StatMuse, Griezmann has now not scored a goal in any of his last 21 La Liga appearances, for a run stretching well over 1,000 minutes.
