Axel Disasi desires to stay in the Premier League, with Newcastle interested | OneFootball

According to a report from L’Équipe, Newcastle United are interested in signing Axel Disasi (27) from Chelsea this summer. The France international is likely to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and would prefer to stay in the Premier League if the opportunity presented itself.

The 27-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements by Enzo Maresca. Disasi spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. The Villans have decided against making the former Monaco centre-back’s move at Villa Park a permanent one.

Newcastle are not the only club showing an interest in Disasi. The Frenchman is also attracting interest from Villarreal. Despite the interest from the La Liga outfit, it appears that the Magpies would be the defender’s priority as he wishes to continue playing in England’s top-flight. However, a €30m pricetag, which has been set by Chelsea, is leading to a lack of concrete offers for the centre-back’s services.
