Shandon Baptiste's 90th-minute strike clinched a dramatic win in a heated, action-packed clash against Coventry City to lift Luton Town three points above the Championship drop zone.

Both teams ended the match with 10 men after Coventry’s Jay Dasilva and the hosts Liam Walsh were sent off - the former for denying a clear scoring opportunity in the 13th minute and the latter for a needless shove on Luis Banks after 70 minutes.

Luton, now with renewed hopes of survival following a third straight victory, dominated for large spells and created several chances - hitting the woodwork twice in the process.

A draw was in the offing, but Luton made their all-important breakthrough at the death when Baptiste capitalised on a mix-up between Sky Blues goalkeeper Brad Collins and defender Liam Kitching to calmly slot in the winner and spark jubilant celebrations in front of a full house at Kenilworth Road.
