Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala’s contract runs until 2026, and now top European clubs are interested in the 21-year-old. Furthermore, a former manager of the German national team noted what makes the player special.

CaughtOffside recently reported that Liverpool have increased their interest in Musiala, and Manchester City, Real Madrid, and PSG are also monitoring his situation. Moreover, recent reports also suggest that Barcelona are interested in Musiala and consider him a potential signing for 2025.

Over the weekend, the Sunday Express reported that the standout has turned down Bayern Munich’s latest contract offer. According to the report, Musiala is seeking around £300,000 a week, and his future with the club is uncertain.

So, why are all these teams vying for the young German international? Oliver Bierhoff spoke with L’Equipe and noted why Musial is very close to the best in the world.

“[Musial] has had an extraordinary development,” Bierhoff said (h/t Le10Sport). “He has become more consistent, more mature, and he has developed physically. You feel that he is a player who likes to have the ball, even in difficult moments.

“He is not afraid to take responsibility. Maybe he is missing one last step – to be consistent over time – to become a superstar.”

Musiala has been with the first-team squad since 2020, making 167 appearances across all competitions while scoring 45 goals and registering 32 assists.
