Barcelona have been offered the chance to sign Brazilian sensation | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have been afforded the opportunity to land one of the most highly-regarded young talents in Brazil.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Zé Lucas as the player in question.

The name of midfielder Zé Lucas first emerged in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital earlier this week, upon Marca confirming that Barcelona were exploring the incorporation of the 17-year-old.

And as much, it is understood, comes with the Blaugrana having been offered up the chance to bring Zé Lucas in by none other than his current club, Sport Recife.

As per a report from Sport:

‘This Tuesday a summit was held to assess his incorporation. The sporting director of the Brazilian team, Thiago Gasparino, travelled to Barcelona accompanied by other directors of the Brazilian club and held a meeting with Deco, Barça’s sporting director.’

As much came with a view to working out the terms of a transfer.

In the case of an agreement ultimately being struck, the midfield starlet would be expected to stay put in his home country of Brazil until turning 18 next year.
