Barcelona learn massive asking price for Newcastle star | OneFootball

The board at La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been made aware of the sum which they will need to part with, in the hopes of landing Newcastle United star Alexander Isak.

And it could well prove enough to scare the Blaugrana off entirely…

The name of frontman Isak has long proven a prominent one in Catalunya’s capital.

This comes with the Swede having been identified as one of a number of options to act as the long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Isak has for his part continued to prove himself one of English football’s standout strikers across the season to date, boasting 16 direct goal contributions in 19 appearances across all competitions.

Owing to such ongoing excellence, though, Newcastle have made use of the opportunity to hike up their star man’s price tag.

As per a report from Diario Sport, citing The Guardian:

‘Newcastle value Isak at more than 150 million pounds, which would be more than 180 million euros at the exchange rate. A totally unaffordable figure for Barcelona.
