Barcelona make contact over deal for Ryan Roberto | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have made initial contact with Brazilian outfit Flamengo, over a potential deal for a member of the latter’s attacking ranks.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Globo, who highlight Ryan Roberto as the player in question.

Roberto, for his part, is a 17-year-old winger, who spent this past season making a name for himself as a potential star in the making.

Across 33 appearances for Flamengo’s U17 side, the Brazil youth international racked up 20 goals, and 14 assists.

Such exploits are expected to culminate in a first-team call for Roberto before long.

With such excellence at such a young age, though, comes inevitable interest from across the water.

As confirmed by MD, both Ajax and the aforementioned Barcelona have already gone as far as to touch base with Flamengo, regarding a potential deal for Roberto:

‘According to Globo, FC Barcelona and Ajax have already inquired about a player whose position fits what the Barça sporting management is looking for in the market.’
