With the January transfer window roughly a week away, Barcelona have made a conscious decision not to sell any player.

It appears coach Hansi Flick is counting on each and every player and does not want to lose a single star, knowing squad depth could be important in the second half of the season.

Barcelona’s strategy may affect many players negatively, especially those who are not a prominent part of the first team.

One of them is Pablo Torre, who has once again struggled to find regular game-time in Catalonia, despite impressing on many occasions.

However, despite his lack of game-time, Torre has no desire to leave Barcelona in January and wants to fight for his place in the first team, reports AS.

Formerly of Racing Santander, Torre had a promising start to the season, as he made some excellent cameos and even started three league games in a row.

With key midfielders injured, Torre had a clear role in the team. However, since the return of Frenkie de Jong and Gavi, his role in the first team has deteriorated.

Torre, in fact, has yet to feature in La Liga since the defeat to Las Palmas on November 30.

But the midfielder remains upbeat about his prospects in the first team. Following the onset of Copa del Rey, the youngster is aware that the opportunities will slowly open up.

The report adds that Torre has had no shortage of offers. But for now, the midfielder is happy at Barcelona and a mid-season exit is not something that interests him.

For starters, Torre is more than likely to start as Barcelona kickstart their Copa Del Rey campaign on January 4, when they take on Barbastro.

Torre may even start ahead of De Jong, who has lost his weight in the team and has fallen behind key players in the pecking order.
