Barcelona pair to return to starting XI for Elche clash | OneFootball

Two leading members of Barcelona’s squad are expected to return to starting duties for the club’s next outing.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who highlight Frenkie de Jong and Ferran Torres as the pair in question.

Beginning with the former, midfielder De Jong was forced to sit out in midweek, as Barcelona made short work of FC Copenhagen in the Champions League. This came owing to a suspension.

Frontman Ferran, meanwhile, is fresh off his return from a spell on the sidelines with a muscular injury.

As outlined above, though, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then both Blaugrana stars look set for imminent returns to starting duties.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, ahead of Barca making the trip to Elche for a La Liga clash on Saturday evening:

‘Hansi Flick is finalizing his starting eleven for the match at the Martínez Valero stadium, and two key changes are expected from the Copenhagen game: Frenkie de Jong and Ferran Torres.’
