In a major development, journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports that FC Barcelona have successfully finalised a transfer agreement with Club Brugge for the highly anticipated signing of 18-year-old winger Jesse Bisiwu.
The breakthrough comes after intensive negotiations between the two clubs, spearheaded by Barça’s sporting director Deco.
According to the report, a total agreement has been reached between the La Liga champions and the Belgian giants to complete the transfer of the 18-year-old prodigy immediately.
The Blaugrana have been working hard behind the scenes to secure Bisiwu’s signing for months now, with sporting director Deco and the club’s head of scouting Joao Amaral leading the efforts from the front.
Barcelona had previously seen initial offers knocked back by the Belgian side. However, a new bid with a structured compromise has fully unlocked the operations.
The settled financial package ensures both immediate and long-term security for both teams. The structure of the deal includes as it includes performance-related add-ons tied to the player’s development and first-team milestones.
In addition, the agreement also contains a significant sell-on clause retained by Club Brugge, which ensures they profit from any future high-profile transfer away from Catalonia.
As already reported, the promising Belgian youth international has officially given his final green light to the move, eager to join the project under manager Hansi Flick.
The operation has moved into its final administrative phase. Only the routine signing of the paperwork and formal medical examinations stand in the way of an official announcement.
Bisiwu, renowned for his explosive pace and 1v1 dribbling skills on the left flank, is expected to follow a strategic integration plan.
Reports indicate he will initially slide into the first-team dynamics during pre-season this summer while alternating match minutes with the reserve squad, Barça Atletic, to smoothly adapt to Spanish football.
It would be similar to the plan that the Catalans seem to have in place for another 18-year-old prodigious attacker, Hamza Abdelkarim, who was signed permanently from Al-Ahly this summer after a six-month loan stint.
