An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona star Andreas Christensen has on Tuesday come to the fore online.
Christensen, for his part, has managed to take to the pitch on just a solitary occasion this season, against Valencia back in August.
Since, the former Chelsea man has been undergoing treatment for a long-term Achilles issue, which ultimately gave rise to tendinopathy.
And, as revealed on Tuesday, Christensen was recently forced under the knife as a result.
As per a report from the reliable Cat Radio:
‘Christensen has gone through the operating room. He has opted for cellular regenerative therapy that has been done to the tendons of both feet.’
As much comes after conservative treatment on the part of the Barcelona medical staff failed to have the desired effect.
It is concluded that the Denmark international is expected to be condemned to a further two months on the sidelines, with his return pencilled in for late-January.
