Barcelona star Pedri has provided an insight into the process which ultimately culminated in Lamine Yamal finding the net in the club’s most recent outing.

Wide-man Lamine was of course on target for the latest occasion on Thursday night.

After Barcelona made the short trip to RCDE Stadium for a derby meeting with Espanyol, the 17-year-old opened the scoring in spectacular fashion.

Cutting inside from his berth on the right flank, Lamine drove towards the edge of the penalty area, before unleashing a sumptuous bending effort into the far top corner.

As much set the Blaugrana on their way to a 2-0 triumph and, in turn, a 28th La Liga title.

And Lamine’s latest telling contribution was no coincidence…

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of his side’s status as Spanish champions being confirmed, Barca midfield standout Pedri explained:

“Lamine scored two goals during the warm-up today that were just like the one he scored in the match. We’re lucky to have him. We need to take good care of him.”
