Barcelona tipped to launch move for Aleksei Batrakov | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have this week been credited with an interest in the signing of Lokomotiv Moscow sensation Aleksei Batrakov.

This of course comes amid the Blaugrana’s ongoing search for reinforcements in the final third.

Ahead of the upcoming departure of star frontman Robert Lewandowski next summer, Deco and co. have long been scouring the continent for fresh attacking blood.

A number of high-profile names, in turn, have been tipped as potential arrivals at the Camp Nou with a view to next season.

As alluded to above, though, this week, a name likely to be less recognisable to most of a Barca persuasion has also been linked.

As per a report from Diario Sport, the reigning Spanish champions are one of several clubs who could launch an assault on the signature of Aleksei Batrakov.

Batrakov, a supremely talented 20-year-old attacker, is currently making waves in his home country of Russia.

Across the season to date, the youngster has racked up 14 direct goal contributions in 14 league appearances for Lokomotiv Moscow.

With such production comes inevitable outside interest, with Barcelona, for one, understood to have earmarked Batrakov as a potential long-term Robert Lewandowski replacement.
