Although the away kit was initially set for a mid-August release, it got delayed multiple times due to problems with Nike.

The delay, stemming from ongoing tensions between the club and Nike, has left fans and the club in a state of uncertainty.

As the Blaugrana prepare to face Rayo Vallecano, they will once again don their home kit, avoiding a kit clash only by circumstance, reports Diario SPORT.

The situation with Nike has not only stalled the release of the alternate kits but has also cast a shadow over the club’s financial and marketing strategies.

The recent ruling by the Barcelona Provincial Court, preventing the club from unilaterally terminating its contract with Nike without compensation, has further complicated matters.

This legal setback has seemingly slowed down negotiations for a new contract, leaving Barcelona in a precarious position both on and off the pitch.

With the summer nearing its end, the absence of the much-anticipated away and third kits has become a growing concern.

The board initially aimed to launch the second kit on August 15, capitalizing on the momentum of the U.S. tour, but those plans have now been deferred.

If the current impasse persists, Barcelona may be forced to unveil both kits simultaneously in September.

Until then, the Blaugrana will continue to rely on their home kit, both in away and home matches and perhaps even in the Champions League.
