Barcelona face a decisive La Liga clash this Sunday against Real Madrid.
A victory would virtually crown the Catalans, who already have a four-point lead, as champions, while a loss would reignite Real Madrid’s hopes in the title race.
Hansi Flick’s team is entering the final stretch of the season with significant physical strain, several players fatigued, and a number of injury concerns.
There was some good news earlier today as Alejandro Balde returned from injury and resumed group training, with the expectation being that he will be ready for El Clasico.
Now, MARCA reports that versatile Barcelona defender Eric Garcia will also be available to face Real Madrid on Sunday.
The Spaniard left the match against Inter Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza with discomfort following a collision with an opponent.
As such, initially, there were concerns about his availability for El Clasico, but after medical checks upon returning from Milan, it was confirmed that he had not suffered any serious injury and would be fit to play.
With Jules Kounde out with injury, Garcia is the frontrunner to start at right-back and his availability will come as a relief for Hansi Flick.

However, in a concerning development, the report states that Andreas Christensen is now a doubt for the game due to a minor muscle overload.
The Danish international returned from a lengthy absence only recently and even started and excelled in last weekend’s La Liga clash vs Valladolid.
However, it appears that the former Chelsea ace is dealing with a muscle strain casting doubt over his availability on Sunday. His participation will depend on how he progresses over the next couple of days.
Beyond that, as reported earlier today, the midfield duo of Marc Casado and Pablo Torre are also unlikely to be available for the Clasico.
