Earlier in the week, Barcelona got into another argument with La Liga over its scheduling heading into the second leg of the Champions League semifinals against Inter Milan.
Barcelona are slated to face Inter Milan in the second leg on May 6, which is why their league game against Real Valladolid, initially scheduled for May 4, was postponed to May 3.
However, Barça weren’t too happy with the timing as the game was scheduled at 9 pm on May 3, thus giving the Catalan stars very little time for sleep and recovery.
Even coach Hansi Flick flagged this poor scheduling in La Liga, with Barcelona eventually appealing for a rescheduling.
However, according to COPE, La Liga appears to have already rejected Barcelona’s appeal to move the kickoff to an earlier time.

The governing body claims that any adjustment would negatively impact other teams and broadcasting commitments, and as such, they’re unwilling to accommodate Barça’s concerns.
This decision is sure to add more tension between the club and La Liga going into the final phase of the campaign.
Barcelona’s clash against Inter Milan, after all, is being seen as a historic opportunity for the club to return to the Champions League final after several years.
With the tie delicately poised, Flick and his staff are keen to ensure maximum preparation and rest.
But a late evening encounter means Barcelona players won’t have time for a proper sleep and recovery, considering the fact that they will have to travel to Milan the next morning.
This is not the first time Barça have been treated unfairly by La Liga when it comes to scheduling this season, and is something the club simply have to contend with.
