Vasco drew 3-3 with Cruzeiro at the Mineirão, with Barros scoring twice to turn the game before being sent off, and a late equaliser denying the visitors.

According to Globo.com, player ratings reflected a mixed night, with Léo Jardim blameless for the goals and producing strong saves, while Paulo Henrique combined attacking threat with costly defensive lapses.

Cuiabano crossed for Barros to level, then his header forced a rebound that the midfielder finished for the turnaround, after Robert Renan had sparked the move with skill and a precise pass. Minutes later, Barros was dismissed for a near-identical offence to his Carioca incident against Flamengo.

Down to ten, Renato Gaúcho introduced Puma Rodríguez, who teed up Brenner to restore the lead. Cruzeiro levelled late from a Kauã cross as marking faltered, with Paulo Henrique failing to rise and Brenner not tracking Gerson.

Cuiabano was central to the comeback yet allowed the late cross. Andrés Gómez battled through close attention and, after he went off, Vasco lost their out ball. Tchê Tchê went close with a shot cleared off the line.

David struggled to hold up play, Nuno Moreira’s quiet form continued, and Hugo Moura dropped into defence after the red card. Despite a spirited display and Brenner’s impact, substitutions invited pressure and a defensive error cost what would have been a heroic away win.
