Bavarian Brown outlines his goals at FC Bayern in first interview | OneFootball

Nathaniel Brown is unveiled as FC Bayern’s new number 11 as the Rekordmeister introduced their new signing to the media on Wednesday. The Germany international shared his delight in joining the club.

"It's special for me because I come from Bavaria. Everyone in Amberg is a Bayern fan. It's mad that I'm now here," said the 23-year-old. The left-back plays alongside several FC Bayern stars at the World Cup.

"I'm delighted to finally be here. I have a very good impression since I know a lot of the guys already and I'm getting to know the others. We have a quality squad. Especially offensively, we have super players. But also defensively. That's already something different than what I was used to before."

Brown only missed one Bundesliga game in the 2025/26 season with Eintracht Frankfurt. FC Bayern completed the transfer for €50 million at the start of the month, shortly after Germany’s elimination at the World Cup in the Round of 32 stage.

"I want to show what I can do,” Brown expressed his desire to succeed at Bundesliga giants. ”I know what I can do and what I can't do. The coach has already shown me what I do well since I've spoken a lot to him. I want to play as many matches as possible, help the team and ultimately win trophies."

Brown also reflected on his best attributes and versatility as he could play in multiple positions for his new club. “I have a good pace and a good sense of space. I need to improve my heading, and I can always work on my tracking back, too. 

"I played a lot in the center during the past season as I feel very comfortable there, too. But, I can, of course, also play on the wing.”
