One day after the 5-0 win at Werder Bremen, there was a traditional engagement on the schedule for the FC Bayern players, coaching staff and management. On the first Sunday of the Wiesn, the Reds, together with families, gathered at the Theresienwiese – in traditional dress, of course – for the club's annual visit to the Munich Oktoberfest.

The atmosphere was excellent as the German record champions toasted the thumping wins at Bremen and in midweek against Dinamo Zagreb (9-2) in the Champions League. The excitement was also great for head coach Vincent Kompany, who visited the festival for the first time. "I've never experienced this before – and then to do it in lederhosen. It's Bavarian culture and tradition," said the 38-year-old Belgian, enjoying the Wiesn visit with his team. Board member for sport Max Eberl also enjoyed donning his garb. "After a win like that, you're happy to put the lederhosen on," smiled the native Bavarian following the match at Werder.

Organised by partner Paulaner, Jamal Musiala, Thomas Müller and Co spent a number of hours together in the Käfers Wiesn-Schänke. It was a particularly nice opportunity for new signings like Michael Olise and João Palhinha to get to know their team-mates and their families better.

Harry Kane and Konrad Laimer also clearly enjoyed the Wiesn visit with their team-mates.

"We're enjoying it today at the Wiesn," said Kompany, before looking ahead to a big match at the Allianz Arena next weekend. After relaxing at the Oktoberfest, the task for Bayern is to summon their strength to defend top spot in the table against Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday (18:30 CEST).
