A teenager is currently causing quite a stir at FC Bayern. Bara Sapoko Ndiaye has made a remarkable leap in his development in just a few months – and this is now clearly reflected in his market value
As Transfermarkt announced, the 18-year-old is one of the biggest winners of the current Bundesliga update. Ndiaye has increased his market value from 300,000 euros to four million euros, which corresponds to an incredible 1233% increase – the best value in the entire Bundesliga
However, the midfielder’s rapid rise began far away from Munich. Born in Mekhé, Senegal, Ndiaye initially played in the youth academies of Thiès and Senegal Elite Stars before joining Gambinos Stars in The Gambia. The partnership between Bayern and the academy, which was established via the Red&Gold network, eventually brought him into contact with the German record champions
When he signed in January 2026, sporting director Max Eberl already made it clear what potential Bayern saw in Ndiaye. „Bara is now the first to really reach the top. He should simply adapt and get to know European soccer,“ explained Eberl at the time
Ndiaye had previously impressed as a trial player at Grasshoppers Zurich and also made a lasting impression in a test match against Bayern
His Bundesliga debut finally followed on 11 April in the 5-0 win against FC St. Pauli. The youngster was substituted for Jamal Musiala in the closing stages and immediately produced strong figures: 17 out of 17 passes were received, and he also managed three successful dribbles in only a short period of action
Ndiaye has made a total of four Bundesliga appearances so far and has already celebrated his first German championship

The Senegalese is not only attracting attention in sporting terms: according to kicker, Ndiaye even set a speed record of over 36 km/h on the Bayern campus
He has now also been nominated for Senegal’s provisional World Cup squad, with national coach Pape Thiaw including the Bayern youngster in the 28-man squad. However, it remains to be seen whether Ndiaye will ultimately make the final squad
It also remains unclear what will happen after 30 June 2026. Officially, Ndiaye’s loan model runs until this date. Bayern, the partner academy and the player himself want to decide together on the next steps, according to the club
However, one thing is already clear: the huge jump in market value shows impressively how quickly Bara Sapoko Ndiaye has come to the attention of FC Bayern.
