Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany says that Inter Milan are “among the strongest teams In Europe.”

The Bayern coach spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of tomorrow’s quarterfinal first leg, via FCInterNews. He also compared current Inter coach Simone Inzaghi to former Nerazzurri and Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.

Bayern Munich take on Inter Milan in the Champions League tomorrow.

And both teams will be well aware that it promises to be a pivotal match for their respective seasons.

Inter and Bayern both lead their respective domestic league tables.

And both have been among the most formidable teams in the Champions League so far this season. They are certainly among the realistic favourites to lift the trophy at the end of the campaign.

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany gave his thoughts ahead of tomorrow’s match.

“We’ll try to cause problems for Inter,” he said. “Because they’re a team who have been doing very well in recent years.”

“They know how to manage all the different phases of the game,” Kompany said of the Nerazzurri.

“They know when to defend and when to attack.”

The Bayern Munich coach declared that Inter “have attitude and experience.”

“Now they’re one of the strongest teams out there,” Kompany declared.

Meanwhile, the Bayern coach also declined to comment much on the likely start for Thomas Muller tomorrow. The 35-year-old is set to start with Jamal Musiala out, but is also in the midst of a contract soap opera.

“Everyone will have the same motivation,” he made clear. “It’s a match that everyone wants to play.”

Then, Kompany noted that “as far as Italian coaches, I worked under Roberto Mancini.”

“And under him, I won the league title at Manchester City.”

“I was certainly inspired by him,” Kompany said of the former City, Inter, and Italy coach.

The Bayern coach then added that “In Inzaghi, I see something of Mancini.”
