Nestory Irankunda has hit the ground running at Grasshopper Club Zurich since joining the club from Bayern Munich on loan in January. It barely took the Australian international any time to impress the management and become a regular starter at the club, which is currently fighting to avoid relegation.

Irankunda has been enjoying success playing on the right wing for the Swiss side. The 19-year-old has registered three assists for the club so far, with the latest one coming in the 2-2 draw against Lausanne on February 22. Following his top performances, the Australian has been named as Grasshopper Club's Player of The Month in February.

After extensive scouting, Bayern Munich finally secured the signing of Irankunda from the Australian side, Adelaide United, in November 2023. Having joined at the start of this season, the versatile attacker primarily played with Bayern's second team in the Regionalliga Bayern. He travelled along with the first team in the games against SSV Ulm and Shakhtar Donetzk but remained an unused substitute.

Nestory joined the Zurich based club on a straight six month loan without a buy option. It is unclear whether he could return to Bayern for the FIFA Club World Cup in June assuming his season in Switzerland would have been wrapped by then.

Still no game time in Italy for Arijon Ibrahimovic

Arijon Ibrahimovic's start to his loan spell at Lazio hasn't gone quite like Irankunda's as the 19-year-old is yet to play his first Serie A game. His only appearance for the Italian club so far came in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals against Inter Milan, where he played 12 minutes off the bench. Ibrahimovic has remained an unused substitute in all six league matches Lazio have played since his arrival.

Ibrahimovic's loan move to the Lazio was finalized in the last days of the winter transfer window. This is his second loan stint in Italy after having spent the entirety of last season playing with ACF Fiorentina. He played merely 756 minutes that campaign, which is far from enough for a player sent on loan to develop. If things don't change soon, it could be another wasted season for the young attacking talent.

Frans Krätzig changed loan destinations from Stuttgart to FC Heidenheim during the winter transfer window as the lack of game time in Die Schwaben wasn't doing his development any good. He joins fellow Bayern loanee Paul Wanner in the Heidenheim team that is currently 16th in the Bundesliga. Despite the team's struggles, both players are enjoying plenty of minutes on the field.
