Inter Milan’s hopes of signing Lille striker Jonathan David are under threat amidst interest from Bayern Munich, as well as Juventus.
As reported by German television station Sky Sport Deutschland, and via FCInterNews.it, Bayern have now entered the race for the in-form Canada international and want to bring him to the Bundesliga next season.
David has long been on Inter’s radar after a prolific spell with Lille, whilst his superb start to the campaign in which he has netted 13 times in 19 games has only increased interest in him.
The former Gent striker is also being monitored by Juventus, but the emergence of Bayern in the race is only set to complicate matters further.
Having fired Lille to the Ligue 1 title in 2021, David has scored 97 goals in 202 appearances for the French club.
Born in the United States, David opted to represent Canada and holds the Canucks’ record as their highest all-time scorer with 30 goals, alongside Cyle Larin.
