If there is one saga that is causing a stir in the transfer market this July, it is undoubtedly the one surrounding the future of Michael Olise (24).

Reportedly on Real Madrid’s radar – a club he is said to be keen to join, according to various reports – the French forward nevertheless remains a Bayern Munich player, with the club having already publicly stated that they do not intend to let him go.

Although this stance is already well known, the club’s sporting director, Christoph Freund, did not hesitate to reiterate it following the Bavarians’ pre-season defeat to Wiesbaden.

“This is absolutely not an issue for us,” the Munich official reaffirmed to the press. ‘We’re delighted that Michael is back from his holiday. He’ll play an important role for FC Bayern this season, just as he did last season too.’

Some clear words, which shouldn’t, however, stop rumours from circulating, even though Olise’s contract runs until 2029.
