Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz reportedly wants to leave Anfield for Bayern Munich this summer (h/t journalist Christian Falk).
The Reds have been trying to ward off interest in the Colombian winger. Barcelona were heavily linked with him.
Unfortunately, Barcelona’s finances scuppered the move, and Bayern have entered the frame. The Bundesliga champions have lost Leroy Sane this summer.
Jamal Musiala also suffered a serious injury that may sideline him for up to five months, forcing them to ramp up transfer activity.
Bayern have settled on Diaz, who earns £55,000 per week, to strengthen the ranks. They are pushing to sign the 28-year-old, but it remains unclear if the offer is enough.
The Reds might also be unwilling to let Diaz go after losing Diogo Jota to untimely death. They are already short in attack.
However, if they agree to let Diaz leave, Liverpool could consider signing Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes to replace him.
The Brazilian has struggled to break into the starting XI under Xabi Alonso. He could explode at Liverpool under the guidance of Arne Slot.
Rodrygo is a menacing attacker on the left flank. If Liverpool can persuade Madrid to drop the €90 million asking price, he would be a terrific addition.
Lyon winger Malick Fofana is another option. The 20-year-old bagged 11 goals and six assists in 41 appearances for Lyon last season and would be a shrewd signing.
