Bayern ‘to hold’ formal Harry Kane extension talks after World Cup

Sky Germany reports that Bayern Munich have already held initial discussions over extending Harry Kane’s contract, with formal negotiations planned after the World Cup.

The German double winners are intent on taking his deal beyond 2027, with a potential agreement running to 2029.

Kane is currently focused on captaining England at the World Cup, so any concrete talks are due after the tournament.

After scoring 61 goals in 51 games for Bayern, he is open to staying, though a final decision will wait until the tournament ends.

The 32-year-old is among Bayern’s top earners, on up to €25 million gross per year, and cost €95 million when he joined from Tottenham Hotspur in August 2023.
