Three days out from their opening Bundesliga game of the season against RB Leipzig, Bayern’s players swapped their training gear for some more traditional attire at Tuesday’s annual lederhosen photoshoot with partner Paulaner. With just a month to go until Oktoberfest begins in Munich, the squad are already getting into the mood for the big event. It was a particularly special moment for the team’s new signings, as Luis Díaz, Jonathan Tah and Tom Bischof got their first taste of traditional Bavarian clothing. “Being able to experience the world's largest folk festival in person in this beautiful traditional clothing will be a great experience for my family and me. I just want to enjoy being part of this culture and celebrating at Oktoberfest with my new teammates in lederhosen,” said Díaz.

Partner Paulaner invited Bayern’s men’s team with Harry Kane and new signing Luis Díaz to the annual lederhosen photoshoot.
“This is the first time I've worn Bavarian clothing. The lederhosen fit very well and look cool. I'm really looking forward to the traditional Oktoberfest visit with my new team. And of course, I hope that we'll also perform well on the pitch and thrill the fans during these two weeks of Oktoberfest, when we have four games scheduled,” added Tah.
“I’ve been to Oktoberfest before with my family and am really looking forward to it,” said Bischof.

But first, Bayern’s focus is on Friday’s opening Bundesliga match against Leipzig. “It wasn’t a long pre-season, but the Supercup against Stuttgart was a big step in the right direction. We played at a high level. We need to do that again on Friday. It’ll be a tough game to start off, but we’re ready,” stated Harry Kane. Head coach Vincent Kompany echoed those sentiments: “We’re really up for the season. The guys are hungry. We want to show that on Friday.”
