Benfica are braced for a restless summer as Richard Ríos’s form draws increasing interest from across Europe. The club want to keep the Colombian midfielder.
According to Glorioso 1904, Ríos is enjoying one of his most influential spells since arriving, his performances resonating beyond Portugal and his name gaining traction in the market.
At the Luz, several clubs are following him closely and the interest is building week by week, yet the internal stance remains firm.
The strongest signals come from Italy, with Inter Milan and Napoli monitoring his progress. In England, Manchester United and Fulham have him on their lists. Benfica, who paid a sizeable fee, view him as vital to the team’s future.
Despite the noise, the 25-year-old remains calm and focused on the present. His contract runs to 2030 and includes a 100 million euros clause, which offers security, although his future could hinge on Champions League participation, his World Cup displays and market attention.
This season Ríos, valued at 22 million euros, has played 42 competitive matches for Benfica, totalling 3,368 minutes. He has five goals and five assists, with 24 outings in Liga Portugal Betclic, 12 in the Champions League, three in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça.
