Benfica are monitoring a European scenario that could shape their route into the 2026/27 Champions League.
According to Glorioso 1904, it hinges on the UEFA Europa League and the domestic finish of its winner, with Porto one of the key moving parts.

If Porto win the Europa League and the national title, Benfica would qualify directly, but only if they finish second in Liga Portugal Betclic.
That combination could create an extra automatic Champions League place, favouring clubs with the strongest UEFA ranking among those otherwise bound for qualifying rounds. Benfica’s ranking would leave them well placed.
Clubs such as Aston Villa and Real Betis also feature in the wider equation, given their Europa League involvement and their positions in domestic tables.
Benfica return to league action on Saturday, 21 March, when they host Vitória de Guimarães in the 27th round.
