Benfica are ready to lodge a €20m offer for Tottenham left-back João Victor de Souza, 20, known as Souza, according to Terra.
The move would come only six months after he joined the London club from Santos for €15m.

Santos kept a 10% share of any capital gain on a future sale and, taking FIFA’s solidarity mechanism into account, would be due around €1.2m.
Souza is under contract until June 2031. He was promoted to Santos’ first team in 2024, attracting interest from Europe, then moved to Tottenham, but his early spell has not gone as planned and he was sparingly used last season.
In 2025/26 he made four Premier League appearances for Spurs, totalling 144 minutes, with no goal contributions. He is valued at €12m.
