Benfica ‘to seek’ 30-40 million euros from Barcelona for Andreas Schjelderup | OneFootball

Mundo Deportivo reports that Benfica have indicated an asking price of 30-40 million euros to sell Andreas Schjelderup to Barcelona, despite a 100 million release clause.

Barcelona are monitoring the Norwegian winger and have him among their leading options to strengthen the flanks this summer for Hansi Flick's side.

The interest comes as Barcelona continue to assess whether to make Marcus Rashford's loan from Manchester United permanent, with an option around 30 million euros and some internal doubts.

Schjelderup, praised by Nemanja Matic, has grown as an alternative. Other listed targets include Jan Virgili of Mallorca, Abde Ezzalzouli of Real Betis and Víctor Muñoz of Osasuna.

This season for Benfica, the 20 million euro-rated forward has made 38 appearances, 23 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 10 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 2,194 minutes he has scored eight goals and provided five assists.
