Bertrand Traoré is assessing his options after leaving Sunderland earlier this summer, with interest emerging from Europe and beyond.
According to Sunderland Echo, FC Porto have made an inquiry, and the club will play in the Champions League this season after winning the Primeira Liga. Traoré knows head coach Francesco Farioli from their previous spell together at Ajax.
Al Shabab and Nice have also asked about the 30-year-old, although talks have not moved further at this stage. Premier League clubs are monitoring the situation.
The winger became a regular for Régis Le Bris in the first half of last season after a deadline-day switch from Ajax. An injury at the Africa Cup of Nations checked his progress, then a substitute cameo at Leeds United at Elland Road brought a recurrence and he did not play again.
After discussions, Sunderland chose not to trigger an option to extend his deal on Wearside for another year. The club are in the market for a right winger, with AS Roma's Matías Soulé among potential targets.
