Real Madrid have a very talented squad at Jose Mourinho’s disposal, with many players competing for each position.

For a player like Brahim Diaz, the Moroccan attacking midfielder could have an important squad role to play even if he does not always feature as a starter.

The 27-year-old versatile star has been at the Spanish club for a few seasons now, playing important role off the bench.

Earlier this summer, it emerged that even if he cannot have a starring role, Brahim was still keen on staying at Real Madrid.

However, in recent days, talk of a potential move to Besiktas has emerged for the talented Real Madrid ace.

However, according to Besiktas president Sardar Adali, the Turkish club are not considering a move for the Madrid player.

“We are not working on Brahim Diaz deal,” he said, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

The president has categorically denied a move for Brahim, but they are not the only club the Real Madrid player has been linked with.

Multiple clubs are said to be interested in the 27-year-old, hoping to convince him of a career away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

The arrival of Bernardo Silva and the expected signing of Yan Diomande have increased competition across the attacking positions.

This could see Brahim get even fewer minutes than he has in recent seasons.

Even though game time looks difficult at the moment, Real Madrid are expected to play over 60 games across all competitions over the course of the season.

For a club aspiring to win every trophy they compete in, players like Brahim always find a way to be valuable at different stages.

Mourinho can also use the Moroccan to try to rotate his squad efficiently without a drop-off in quality.

The most important quality Brahim brings to the table is that Los Blancos know exactly what they get with him. They know exactly how he trains, how he is happy to be part of the minutes rotation and how he always delivers when called upon.

There is no surprise factor here and sometimes, in a squad as star-studded as Real Madrid, that might be the biggest luxury.
