The Juventus Women’s First Team made it two for two in pre-season, beating Borussia Dortmund 4-0 in Germany to add to their win over FC Zurich earlier in the summer.
Goals from Abi Brighton and Amalie Vangsgaard got things started for the Bianconere, with Emma Stolen Godo and Paulina Krumbiegel then completing the scoring.
The game was a battle from the first whistle in Dortmund, and the two sides looked to get themselves in front early on.
It was the Bianconere who struck first though, and the opening goal came in real style. Brighton, combative as ever in the middle, won the ball in midfield and nutmegged her opponent before firing in a long-range effort.
The hosts had the chance to level from the penalty spot, but Danielle de Jong was on hand to keep them out with a fine stop. That missed chance became all the more important when Stolen Godo and Vangsgaard combined for the Dane to double the Bianconere’s lead with an excellent finish of her own.
The second half kicked off without any changes, and Stolen Godo got herself on the scoresheet before Massimiliano Canzi made 10 changes, leaving only Krumbiegel on of the 11 who started. With a quarter of an hour to play, Krumbiegel got a goal of her own on home soil after being found in the box by second-half introduction Michela Cambiaghi.
And that was where to scoring stopped, with the Bianconere maintaining their excellent start to pre-season.
