Blackburn Rovers, level with West Brom in the Championship relegation fight, have been granted special permission to adjust their 25-man squad for the rest of the season after signing former £10m winger Nathan Redmond.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the 19th-placed side have been allowed to amend two slots on their list.

Redmond has been registered, and injuries have prompted a defensive tweak. With Sondre Tronstad and Lewis Miller both out, Rovers deregistered the pair to reregister George Pratt, previously on loan at Chorley.

Under EFL rules, clubs can apply to alter their squad lists by a specified date.

There is precedent, with Portsmouth last season removing injured signing Ibane Bowat from their list and replacing him with Colby Bishop.
